Our Story

KidsAdvisory was launched in September 2024 as the first dedicated recall alert service for parents in the US and Canada. Our journey began over a decade ago in the pet food recall industry, where we partnered with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dave Baker to create Petful.com, the leading recall alert service for dog and cat owners. With an average of 10 million visitors per year, the impact of that work was significant.

After becoming a mother of two boys, I, an elementary school teacher and former healthcare practice owner, saw a similar need for families with children. As parents, we understand how overwhelming it can be to stay on top of every potential safety concern. That’s why I founded KidsAdvisory—to provide families with a trusted, expert-verified source for recall alerts that helps keep their kids safe.

Based in New York, NY for our US office and Vancouver, BC for our Canadian office, our team is dedicated to protecting families with children across North America.
